Thanks for Giving! Help a family in need for this Thanksgiving! On Friday, November 20, 2015 students may dress down by donating a canned good towards the Kid Zone Community Giving project.Remember those participating in the free dress fundraiser: No leggings, jeggings, ripped jeans, halters, shorts, short skirts, capris, or other inappropriate attire.
DEAW raises funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month Staff and students competed in 3rd Annual kickball and basketball games to show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Big Breakfast Parents, Students and Staff enjoyed the first Big Breakfast of the 2015-16 school year! Families dined on yummy made-to-order omelettes, hashbrowns, sausage and biscuits. Buddies Not Bullies! David Ellis Academy West partnered with David Ellis Academy Detroit, Beech Elementary, and the Redford Service Learning Academy in a rally and march to bring awareness to anti-bullying.
