Cedar Point Trip Postponed until Wednesday Tomorrow's forecast for Sandusky, Ohio is predicting rain showers and cool temps most of the day, therefore we feel it's in the best interest of our students and staff to postpone the Cedar Point trip. If we were to make the trip under these conditions, most of rides and attractions would not be operable nor would it be a pleasant day for our students and staff. The Cedar Point trip has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions pertaining to the decision to postpone the trip ([email protected]). Thank you in advance for your support. Sincerely,Tyron D. Hurd

Wear DEAW Gear all week! Tuesday, May 29, 2018Dear DEAW Parents,As you may be aware, we are expecting high temperatures and humidity this week and we would like to ensure your child is well protected from the heat while at school. For the remainder of the week (May 30-June 1) staff and students may wear their DEAW Gear (school shirts, black or blue jeans and gym shoes - shorts are not permitted). It is essential that your child brings a bottle of water to school, which can be re-filled during the day as needed. We will encourage students to stay in the shade during recess. Students will be encouraged to have their water bottles in the classroom and will be encouraged to drink at regular intervals. There are a number of water fountains in school where students can re-fill bottles at before/after recess, lunch or between classes. Students will not be permitted to leave during a instruction time to get water unless there is a medical reason.
