Please be reminded school begins promptly at 8:05 a.m. Students are expected to report to school on time and dressed in complete uniform. Students participating in Kid Zone (latchkey) may enter through the Beech Daly entrance as early as 7:00 a.m.
School attendance has a direct impact on academic achievement. In order to make the most of educational opportunities, students must have consistent, punctual daily attendance. Students must be in the classroom when attendance is taken to be counted present. Please ensure your child attends school on a daily basis and arrives on time. Excessive absences, tardies and early dismissals are recorded and will be reported to the Wayne County Prosecutor's office.
After the student has five (5) unexcused absences, tardies or early dismissals the school will call the parent/guardian and/or send a reminder letter about the student’s attendance.
After seven (7) unexcused absences, tardies or early dismissals the school will send a final warning letter, reminding the parent of the need to improve the student’s attendance and compulsory attendance law. The school will work closely with both student and parent to improve the student’s attendance.
A copy of this letter will be sent to the Wayne County Prosecutor's office.

During inclement weather conditions, students may enter the building at 7:55 a.m.
All students who arrive to school late must be signed in by their parent/legal guardian.
All exterior doors will close promptly at 8:10 a.m. Tardy students arriving after 8:10 a.m. will enter through the Pembroke doors only. A parent/legal guardian will be required to sign in all tardy students arriving after 8:10.
For the safety and security of our students and staff, all parents/visitors must use the main entrance (Pembroke lobby) and report to the upper school office.
Every Friday students may wear their school t-shirts, black or blue jeans (no ripped jeans allowed) and gym shoes.
