Wear DEAW Gear all week!

Dear DEAW Parents,

As you may be aware, we are expecting high temperatures and humidity this week and we would like to ensure your child is well protected from the heat while at school. For the remainder of the week (May 30-June 1) staff and students may wear their DEAW Gear (school shirts, black or blue jeans and gym shoes - shorts are not permitted).

 It is essential that your child brings a bottle of water to school, which can be re-filled during the day as needed.

 We will encourage students to stay in the shade during recess.

 Students will be encouraged to have their water bottles in the classroom and will be encouraged to drink at regular intervals. There are a number of water fountains in school where students can re-fill bottles at before/after recess, lunch or between classes. Students will not be permitted to leave during a instruction time to get water unless there is a medical reason.
