Parent Teacher Student Association Meeting

Hello DEAW Families,

It's been a busy year. We are moving forward on various initiatives that all, at the core, have the same goal: making sure ALL of our young scholars receive a high-quality education that will prepare them for college and beyond. These initiatives will not be successful unless you are actively engaged and supportive.  Research is clear on this point: when schools, families and communities support each other, students of all backgrounds and ability levels achieve at the highest levels.  Engaged parents can make a HUGE difference by checking their child's class/home work, communicating with the teachers on a consistent basis, checking Power School at least twice weekly and bringing their children to school on time, on a daily basis.
On behalf of the entire DEAW staff, I want to thank all the parents and families who have taken on the demanding job of being engaged in your child's education.  Parents, the importance of your support is immeasurable.  When educators hit a bump, help us plow through it with your support.  We simply cannot succeed with you.

Please join us for our next PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) meeting on Thursday, January 25, 2018  @ 4:15 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  Your concerns, suggestions and support are crucial to our success!
